*NOVEMBER!!!!*
What can I say!? November and snow! This picture taken on NOVEMBER 26th!!!!!
Now the ‘clever weather people’ are saying it is going to be a long harsh winter. I could have told them that months ago. Why? Well we had decided we could not go away for the whole winter. But, we had also decided to stay in the RV and then take it to Florida to Catherine and Bryan’s wedding at the end of January, so we could have at least a few weeks of Florida weather.
Since we would be leaving at the beginning of January, there was no use wrapping the RV, ordering a large propane tank and doing all those other things you would normally do if you were going to ‘hunker down’ for the whole winter.
As a result, this early, cold start to winter has cause us so much hardship.
Propane flying out the window.
Carrying an empty 40 pound propane tank every second day to the truck and down to the filling station.
Paying for a fill up.
Hauling it back to the truck and then lifting it back into the RV. All in the freezing cold.
Climbing up a ladder to try and clear huge slabs of ice from the slide covers.
Praying Susan holds the ladder and I don’t end up on the ground.
Frozen hands!
Constantly being cold.
Turn up the heat…too hot.
Furnace shuts off…too cold.
Best thing we did do (Cat’s advice) was to put a mattress heater on the bed!
Do not know if we can survive this until January!
