9:20 a.m.–Catherine called.
Can I get a ride to the spa?
Have to leave by 9:30 a.m.!
We hope these few hours at the spa will relax Catherine. She is getting really uptight and stressed out, and, since everyone will be arriving tomorrow, things promise to get more chaotic. Tomorrow morning, Catherine and I will be going to get our hair, nails etc. done in order to look our best for Sunday. It will be a nice couple of hours for mother and daughter to just be together before the chaos hits tomorrow evening. I am looking forward to our time together.
Weather forecasts a cool a.m. on Cocoa Beach! We decided to do some errands and Susan went to help Catherine with wedding ‘things’.
In the evening Catherine and Bryan and their friends decided to go on the Casino ship. I gather a couple of them like to play poker, and the rest like the slots. The cruise is free and they have a free buffet as well. Then, if you gamble you get free drinks too! Think we will have to try it at least once.
Catherine telephoned us that the boat was leaving the the dock and would be passing our campground in about five minutes. Susan took Cat’s scooter and I took my bike and we went down to the channel to watch the ship exit. Although it was dark, we waved to the shadowy figures on the deck and Susan flashed the scooter’s headlight. We could hear a lot of music and voices but…….one very distinctive laugh was above all the rest, and carried all the way to the shore…our daughter’s!!! LOL
My day was spent helping Catherine with her decorations and doing the mountains of washing she dumped in our place. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to get a sewer site. LOL Oh well, anything to help the stressed out bride-to-be!
However, it was very nice to hear Catherine’s laughter tonight (see Jim’s entry today) instead of the ’stress tears’ of this afternoon.
Well, we survived the tornado warning. Apparently, tornadoes hit the Gulf coast and further inland before arriving in our neighbourhood. But the winds that started last night, continued all night and all day today. The temperature tried hard to reach 60f but I doubt if it did.
I spent a good portion of the day sorting papers and throwing out ‘things’. Later I drove the scooter to Cat and Bryan’s (left at our place during storm last night). There, we discussed her hair style and flowers etc. for the wedding. Think all that is now sorted out.We spent most of the day inside. Jim actually fixed the toilet. Figured out what was wrong and how to fix it and then did fix it. Dad would be proud! LOL
After dinner, Cat, Bryan and Mitts (who was wrapped in a large blanket) arrived at our place. It was really cold out, so Mitts needed to be wrapped up for the long walk here (4 minutes). LOL Catherine came over to dye her hair. Apparently, the smell of the dye is bad for Charlie and Cocoa. (I think she just wanted to keep her place clean, and their holding tank empty because of the guests arrival late tonight.) The guests are bridesmaid Kristy and husband Will, best man Trevor, and Will’s brother Dennis. They have apparently driven straight through from PEI pulling Kristy and Will’s new trailer. Cannot wait to see it!
Unbelievable!!!!! Here we are at our favourite place—Jetty Park in Cocoa Beach Florida. Catherine and Bryan arrived today. After they set up, they came over to our place and Jim bar-b-qued hamburgers for lunch. Then, the four of us biked down to the beach. We had a wonderful time there.

Back at our place, Bryan set up my computer with more RAM. Then Catherine set up my internet\phone. Love those ‘Techies”! My Mac is working great now. Later, Jim and I sat outside with Mittsy while Cat and Bryan ‘played further’ with their computers. It was a beautiful night. Since I could not resist Cat’s scooter, I took it out for a short ride around the park. When I came back I asked if they had seen the lightening. They had. I joked that maybe we will get a tornado. Just like Christmas 2006! (see entry December 25, 2006). Just like Milton 2007! (see entry June 8, 2007)
Cat went on the internet–TORNADO WARNING FOR COCOA BEACH!!! We thought she was kidding. She was not! Tornado warnings again! Unbelievable!!!!!
We are now at Easterlin State Park. One of our favourites from last year. We managed to get the site right next to the one we got last year. We had thought last year, that it would be the best in the park. We still think that, now that we are here. Unfortunately, we could only get it for two days. So, it will be off to Jetty Park on Thursday. Looking forward to spending our day here tomorrow. The only thing missing are Cat and Bryan (they were here with us last year). We had such a great time playing frisbee, basketball, cards and discussing wedding plans.

ARRIVED IN FORT LAUDERDALE YESTERDAY. WE ARE HERE FOR 10 DAYS. WILL POST MORE PICTURES SOON
